The big problem displaying my artwork on a website is that without some reference on the photo you cant get the scale of the work..! in my case viewers cant get the full impact of the size of the pieces. Its a little frustrating because I do quite large drawings and paintings and unless you are viewing them in a gallery the impact just isnt there..! so on this page I’ve put myself in the pics with some pieces so that you can get an idea of size.

By the way, I hate having my pic taken :-/

Collection of four portrait drawings pinned on a wall, featuring a large central portrait of a young woman with long hair, surrounded by smaller portraits of an older man, a woman with her eyes closed, and another man with short hair.

A3 and A4 sketches either side of my preferred portrait size

Just to give you an idea of scale, the main drawing/painting to the left of the page is representative of the size of works that I concentrate on, I occasionally do slightly smaller and often larger works.

The sketches to the right of centre, are A4 size and the sketch to the left of centre is A3.

Many portrait artists use A3 and A4 which I don’t feel gives the same impact.

My average work size… 800 x 600mm

These are examples of size differences !

The horses are actually 1200x600mm

Person observing art in a gallery, featuring black and white portraits on a wall, a wooden chair, and a table with beverages and art supplies.

I hope these examples give you a better idea of the scale of my work.

when framed, they give an imposing presence in a room.
